Carroll's presentation was exciting and inspiring; her humble beginnings were genuinely impressive; she grew up in a historically invested community and family. While growing up, she understands the power of a designer, the purpose beyond the computer screen, and what she is drawing on a piece of paper. However, what was inspiring was when she talked about diversity in the design world; she explained it well wow, showing complex numbers in the statistics on the issue of diversity. Throughout her experience, she wanted something more in the design world; she wanted every person of color to be noticed and recognized. Carroll truly understands the empathy of design; she understands how people feel and their struggles.
